The sun will always rise, but your day may not begin. Rising from sleep so groggy and warm to a day that doesn't want you to smile. Go back to bed where your eyelids flutter under the blocked bright light sunshine through the curtains. Curl your toes in the cold fresh quilts curl then till they cramp, stretch your body out long tall and strong and then cramp yourself down. Hide under the blankets cover your face and your mouth until you cannot breath and your skin sweats pure, wipe the spittle off your pillow as you rouse from a heat induced nap. Smell your dry mouth breath and mask it with stale water from your wooden bedside companion, run your fingers through the tangles in your grainy scalp feeling irritating, nauseating, uncomfortable knots similar to those in your stomach.. Bite the pillows edge and trace illegible sentences on the wall, yawn fully and completely letting go of all the nightly woes. Finally rub your face and gain the courage to chase yourself out of bed and start a cold morning routine.
